Kolkata, June 2 -- : Traffic movement on the Taratala flyover in south Kolkata was briefly suspended on Tuesday morning after a gas leak was detected from an LPG-laden truck, triggering a swift response from the police and fire services.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 8 a.m. when the truck, carrying LPG cylinders from Kalyani to a fuel station in Pailan for refilling, was crossing the flyover. Preliminary investigations suggest that the valve of one of the cylinders came loose, causing gas to leak and spread across the area.
