Varanasi, March 24 -- A tragic gas cylinder explosion in the Lahartara area under Manduwadih police station limits led to the death of two people and left two others seriously injured on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred near Lahartara bridge, where a loud blast startled residents and caused a house to collapse.
According to local sources, the explosion was triggered by a leaking gas cylinder while cooking.
Four people were trapped under the debris after the blast. With the help of locals, rescue efforts were carried out immediately, and all victims were rushed to the trauma centre at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
