Neeraj BaliChandigarh, July 25 -- Punjab Police has brought back alleged gangster Jobanjit Singh alias Joban Billa from Indonesia after he was deported from Jakarta in a coordinated operation involving the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), OFTEC Punjab and central agencies, marking a significant breakthrough in its drive against transnational organised crime.
The accused, who is wanted in multiple criminal cases, including four murder cases registered in Punjab, had allegedly been evading arrest while operating across different countries. He also faces charges related to attempt to murder, offences under the NDPS Act and the Arms Act, according to police.
