Patna, Sept. 8 -- The Ganga continued to fluctuate in Bihar on Tuesday , remaining above the danger mark at several places, while water levels showed a declining or stable trend in the upper reaches and a rising trend around Kahalgaon, Ajmabad and Sahibganj.
According to the Water Resources Department report based on Central Water Commission data, the Ganga was flowing 1.22 metres above the danger mark at Maner, 0.94 metres above at Dighaghat, 1.58 metres above at Gandhi Ghat and 1.12 metres above at Banka Ghat in Patna district.
At Hathidah, the river was 1.62 metres above the danger mark, while at Sultanpur in Bhagalpur district it was 2.31 metres above the danger mark and 0.06 metres above the prescribed highest flood level.
