Hyderabad, May 20 -- Ganesh Sena on Wednesday demanded strict enforcement of laws banning cow slaughter and illegal cattle transportation in Telangana ahead of the Bakrid festival, alleging large-scale violations across the state.
In a press release, the organisation urged the Telangana government to take stringent action against those involved in illegal slaughterhouses, cattle smuggling, and animal cruelty. It also demanded that the Preventive Detention (PD) Act be invoked against persons allegedly encouraging illegal cow slaughter.
