Hyderabad, Sept. 25 -- Telangana DGP C V Anand on Friday said Ganesh idol immersions were proceeding peacefully across the state, with around 88,000 idols immersed by Friday morning out of 1.24 lakh idols registered on the State Ganesh portal.
Speaking at a press conference here, Anand said the number of registered idols had increased from 1.15 lakh last year. Including idols installed in apartments, homes and private premises, the total number across the state could be around 3.5 to four lakh.
