Hyderabad, Oct. 2 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said Mahatma Gandhi's principles of non-violence, Satyagraha, equality and social justice continued to serve as a guiding light for the world.
He was speaking at the grand celebrations of Gandhi's 157th birth anniversary organised by the Gandhi Global Family and TPCC at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. TPCC President and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud also participated in the programme.
Bhatti Vikramarka called for building a society free from inequality, discrimination and social humiliation. He urged people to reject the ideology of Nathuram Godse, who assassinated Gandhi, and opposed attempts to distort the Mahatma's role in the freedom struggle.
