New Delhi, Feb. 18 -- Galgotias University has been directed to vacate its Expo area stall at the AI Impact Summit following a controversy over the display of a Chinese-made robo dog, government sources said.
The action comes after a video went viral on social media in which the university allegedly claimed that the robot dog was developed under its Centre of Excellence programme. The robo dog was later identified as a product acquired from Chinese robotics firm Unitree.
In an earlier statement, the university had clarified that the recently acquired robo dog was brought to campus as part of its effort to expose students to cutting-edge global technologies.
