Bhubaneswar, June 16 -- In a swift inter-state rescue operation, Gajapati Police secured the release of two migrant labourers from R. Udayagiri block who were allegedly subjected to bonded labour, illegal confinement and exploitation by their employer in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The rescued workers, identified as Santiel Karado (54) and Gamliel Karado (29), had been employed under a businessman in Tirupati for nearly five years. According to police, the two were allegedly held captive for the past eight days and prevented from returning home or communicating with their families.
