New Delhi, Jan. 5 -- union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday reviewed ongoing national highway projects worth Rs13,783 crore in Uttarakhand, including the important Char-Dham project.
These road infrastructure initiatives are spread across 656 km and are aimed at boosting connectivity, tourism, the local economy and also linkages between the four important religious places Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri.
The review meeting was held in the national capital with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Minister of State in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta. Senior officials from the state and centre also attended.
