Jaipur, July 9 -- union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday travelled by road along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway up to Kota for taking stock of the quality and condition of the highway, and other road safety related aspects.
The Minister's cavalcade hit the road on the 1,386-km long eight-lane highway from Gurugram this morning, and reached Pinan in Alwar district where Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari welcomed and greeted Gadkari.
Gadkari, held an "on-road interactive briefing" with Dy CM and State PWD Minister Diya Kumari, senior officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and local district authorities.
