Fundamental character of BJP is anti-democratic: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, Jan. 5 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday claimed the fundamental character of the BJP is "anti-democratic".

"The BJP is misusing its power through the ongoing Socio-Economic Survey (SES). The NRC process is conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, but the government is using the Election Commission to carry out the NRC work through the SES," he alleged.

On Monday, hundreds of workers, leaders, youth, intellectuals, doctors, professors, and religious figures from various districts met Akhilesh Yadav at the Samajwadi Party state headquarters in Lucknow to extend New Year greetings and pledged to form a Samajwadi Party government in the state in 2027.
