Bengaluru, June 18 -- The Karnataka Legislative Council biennial elections recorded a complete 100 per cent turnout on Thursday, with all 222 eligible MLAs casting their votes at the Vidhana Soudha, in a closely watched electoral exercise marked by both full participation and sharp political exchanges.
Polling concluded at 4 pm under the supervision of the Election Commission of India, with officials confirming that every legislator exercised their franchise within the stipulated time. The ballot boxes were sealed later as per procedure, with counting scheduled to begin at 5 pm.
Congress MLA A S Ponnanna said the polling process was completed smoothly and in accordance with the rules.
