Chennai, Feb. 27 -- Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Indian Navy, turned nostalgic on Friday as he commissioned the warship 'Dolphin Hunter, INS Anjadip,an anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft, at the Chennai Port.

The newly inducted INS Anjadip revives the name of an earlier vessel that was decommissioned in 2003.

Few officers have the rare distinction of beginning their naval careers aboard a particular ship, rising to lead the service, and later commissioning a new warship bearing the same name as their first posting.

Admiral Tripathi shared that he had served on the original INS Anjadip as its most junior crew member and carries many fond memories from that time.
