Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, May 25 -- Petrol and diesel prices were raised yet again across the country, marking the fourth revision in the past two weeks as state-owned oil marketing companies continued to adjust retail rates amid rising international crude prices.
With the latest revision, petrol has become costlier by Rs 2.61 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre. The cumulative increase in fuel prices over the past fortnight now stands at around Rs 7.50 per litre.
Following the hike, petrol in the national capital is being sold at Rs 102.12 per litre, while diesel now costs Rs 95.20 per litre. The previous revision came on May 23, when petrol prices were increased by Rs 0.87 per litre and diesel by Rs 0.91 per litre.
