Snehal SenguptaKolkata, May 25 -- The latest fuel price hike has kept Kolkata in the top slot among the country's metropolitan cities.

Petrol prices soared to Rs 113.51 per litre on Monday, while diesel nearly touched the century mark at Rs 99.82.

Diesel prices increased by Rs. 2.71 per litre and petrol by Rs. 2.61 per litre.

The latest spike in fuel prices has sharpened concerns among office-goers, transport operators and small business owners across the city, who fear the higher rates would put a strain on their pockets and monthly budgets.
