Chennai, May 15 -- Terming the hike in prices of petrol and diesel by Rs three per litre by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) as unacceptable, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK Founder C Joseph Vijay on Friday evening urged the BJP-led union Government to roll it back immediately as it would severely affect the poor and the middle class, besides the small and medium enterprises and impact the bargaining power the people.

In a statement here, he took a a dig at the OMCs for not passing the benefits to the consumers by reducing the fuel prices during reduction in the prices of crude oil in the International market and reaping the benefits of the profit themselves.
