Bengaluru, Aug. 26 -- India's expanding network of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) has opened new markets for Karnataka, but MSMEs must strengthen supply chains, quality standards and global competitiveness to convert market access into actual exports, BCIC President K Ravi said here on Wednesday.
Speaking to UNI as the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) marked its Golden Jubilee, Ravi said the chamber would focus on helping MSMEs leverage India's FTAs with the UK, European Union, Australia, Oman and other markets.
"Agreements by themselves will not create exports. Business will create exports, while the government can negotiate access," Ravi said.
