New Delhi, Nov. 5 -- The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Delhi has achieved a dramatic reduction in its case pendency over a period of around one year, dropping significantly from nearly 27,000 cases down to around 5,700 cases.

This milestone reflects a major operational turnaround with the enhancement of speed and efficiency of the forensic investigations under the present government, with a 78.88 per cent drop in the backlog, officials said.

In previous years, FSL faced a massive backlog of roughly 27,000 pending cases awaiting analysis, and this has witnessed a drop during the past year.

Notably, this sharp decline marks one of the most substantial operational improvements recorded by the laboratory in the recent years.
