Ranchi, June 9 -- The Jharkhand High Court has issued a 19-point framework, aimed at strengthening the protection, rehabilitation and access to justice for survivors of sexual violence and children affected by such crimes, while warning that lapses by officials could invite disciplinary as well as legal action.
A division Bench comprising Chief Justice M.S. Sonak and Justice Rajesh Shankar issued the directions while disposing of a public interest litigation that later evolved into a suo motu proceeding examining the state's response to rape survivors and victims of sexual offences.
