Kochi, Jan. 14 -- A textile-based artwork that reflects the labour, memory, and lived experiences of Indian farmers is drawing attention at the 'Arthshila' venue of the Students' Biennale 2025.
Titled 'Inheritance of the Hand', the work is a collaborative effort by artists Mohammad Riyaz and Aman Kumar.
Riyaz, hailing from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, has completed his Master of Fine Arts from the Government College of Fine Arts, Gwalior. Shaped by his rural upbringing, his artistic practice centres on the everyday struggles of Indian farmers, a theme that runs through his current exhibits at the Students' Biennale.
