New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Jay Meena had always dreamed of becoming a cricketer. But a stint asa school ball boy introduced him to soft tennis and changed the course of his life.
Growing up in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, cricket was the sport he loved most. At Pioneer Public School, however, he found himself spending time around the soft tennis court, initially watchingthe players before eventually picking up a racquet himself.
Jay started out as a ball boy, collecting balls and watching the players from the sidelines. What began almost by accident has now taken the 24-year-old to an Asian Games podium.
