Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, May 12 -- In an unprecedented move affecting lakhs of medical aspirants across the country, the National Testing Agency on Tuesday cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3 following allegations of a question paper leak, marking the first time the national medical entrance test has been scrapped in its current format.

The agency announced that the examination would be held again on fresh dates to be notified later after reviewing the inputs received from central agencies and findings shared by law enforcement authorities.
