New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- Highlighting the remarkable strides made in India's healthcare and medical education sectors over the past decade, Health Minister JP Nadda today emphasised the government's strong commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and medical training across the nation.

Addressing the 50th Annual Convocation Ceremony of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here, Naddad noted that while India had only one AIIMS at the end of the previous century, the country today has 23 AIIMS institutions. This significant expansion, the Minister said, reflects the government's focused efforts to ensure that quality healthcare facilities and medical training reach every region of India, an official statement said.
