Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- The Odisha Government has dismissed newly appointed Odisha Taxation & Accounts Service (OT&AS) officer Bhimsen Tudu from government service following his arrest in connection with a criminal case.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered Tudu's dismissal, while the State Government has also declared him ineligible for appointment to any government post in the future, a statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office said on Saturday.

Tudu had been undergoing induction training after his appointment to the OT&AS cadre. However, he remained absent from the training programme at the Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management (MDRAFM) from June 4, 2026, and also failed to appear for the final examination....
