Chennai, Oct. 20 -- A Fresh Low Pressure area is likely to form over the Bay on October 23, which was expected to further intensify the Northeast monsoon rainfall activity over Tamil Nadu, Met office said on Tuesday afternoon.
It said an upper air cyclonic circulation lay centred over Gulf of Thailand and adjoining Thailand and Myanmar at 0830 hrs today. It is likely to emerge into north Andaman Sea by tomorrow morning.
Thereafter it will move west-north-westwards and under its influence a Low Pressure area is likely to form over Southeast and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal around October 23. Then it is likely to move north-westwards and intensify further.
It said the next update on this fresh system would be issued tomorrow.
