New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have turned sellers in Indian equities in September, pulling out Rs 13,138 crore in the first two weeks of the month amid heightened global uncertainty, rising crude oil prices and a stronger US dollar.

According to data from NSDL, foreign investors withdrew Rs 13,138 crore from Indian equities between September 1 and September 11.

The latest selling comes after FPIs had returned to the Indian market as net buyers in July and August, investing Rs 20,200 crore and Rs 29,630 crore, respectively, as per CDSL data.

The renewed selling has also pushed the cumulative FPI outflow from Indian equities in 2026 to Rs 2.37 trillion. This is significantly higher than the Rs 1.66 trillion with...
