Jammu, July 5 -- The fourth batch of more than 6700 Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims left on Sunday from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp for the twin base camps of the cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security arrangements.

Officials said that 6721 pilgrims left the Jammu base camp in a fleet of 291 vehicles comprising Light Motor and Heavy Motor Vehicles.

The batch comprised 4,576 males, 1,310 females, 22 children, 572 sadhus, 154 sadhvis and foreign nationals. They left to perform pilgrimage on the twin Pahalgam and Baltal routes.
