Nagpur, Aug. 29 -- : Four pilgrims from Vidarbha, including three women, who were stranded in Nepal following the recent flash floods, returned safely to Nagpur on Saturday, ending days of uncertainty for their families, officials told UNI.
The pilgrims, Indira Chaudhary (65), Sulochna Khapre from Wardha, and Deepak Pande and Varsha Upadhyay from Hinganghat , were part of a group from eastern Maharashtra that had travelled to Nepal on a pilgrimage to the revered Pashupatinath temple.
The crisis unfolded after flash floods struck Rasuwa and several parts of central Nepal on Wednesday, claiming lives and causing extensive damage to roads, bridges, settlements and hydropower projects.
