Shimla, May 24 -- Four people were arrested for allegedly assaulting a Himachal Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus driver near Kachighati on the outskirts of Shimla after a dispute over overtaking, police said on Sunday.
According to Shimla police, the HRTC Volvo bus was on its way from Delhi to Shimla when it overtook a Haryana-registered Scorpio vehicle near Kachighati during the morning hours.
Enraged over the incident, some tourists, all occupants of the SUV, allegedly intercepted the bus and assaulted the driver.
On receiving information, a team from Boileuganj police station rushed to the spot and immediately detained two accused involved in the incident.
