Mathura, Oct. 7 -- In a tragic incident, four Sanskrit students died in the Chaitanya Vihar area of Vrindavan after inhaling toxic gas and drowning while cleaning a submersible tank at the Maharishi Panini Sanskrit Gurukul Vidyalaya on Tuesday night.
According to reports, a foul smell emanated from the 12-foot-deep submersible tank located in the Gurukul. At around 10:00 pm, a student went down to clean the tank. He fell unconscious due to the toxic gas formed inside the tank.
To save him, his friends climbed down into the tank one by one, but all of them fell unconscious after being exposed to the poisonous gas.
As soon as the accident was reported, other people present at the scene and the local police began relief and rescue operation...
