Jodhpur, Jan. 20 -- As many as four pilgrims were killed and at least 17 others injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a speeding truck trailer near Kairu on the Jaisalmer- Jodhpur Road on Tuesday afternoon.

A two-wheeler and a car were also damaged in the collision, a police spokesman said.

The ill-fated bus was carrying people back home to Gujarat after paying obeisance at the Ram Deora dham when it collided with the truck near the revered Arana-Jharna pilgrim centre.

The injured were rushed to the Mathura Das Mathur Hospital here, where Medical Superintendent Dr Vikas Rajpurohit was himself supervising the arrangement for medical care to the injured.
