Four NC legislators sworn in as ministers in first cabinet expansion of Omar government

Srinagar, Oct. 27 -- In the first cabinet expansion of the Omar Abdullah-led government, four National Conference (NC) legislators - Ali Mohammad Sagar, Shamima Firdous, Mir Saifullah and Altaf Ahmad Kaloo - were sworn in as ministers at Lok Bhawan here on Tuesday.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly inducted ministers at a ceremony attended by senior political leaders and officials.

The expansion comes over two years after the formation of the Omar Abdullah government in Jammu and Kashmir.
