Chandigarh, Feb. 7 -- Four Indian girls, three from Punjab and one from Kerala, trapped in human trafficking networks in Oman have safely returned to India. Their repatriation was made possible through persistent efforts of Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Indian Embassy in Oman.

One of the survivors visited Nirmal Kutia in Sultanpur Lodhi on Saturday to express her gratitude to Sant Seechewal.

Sharing her harrowing ordeal, she revealed that she was lured to Oman in May 2024 by her own cousin, who allegedly abandoned her there. Upon arrival, her passport was confiscated, and she was coerced into signing a two-year mandatory contract.
