New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- Delhi Police has busted an alleged racket involved in the supply of prohibited imported cigarettes in the national capital, arresting four people and seizing over 2.82 lakh cigarettes valued at more than Rs 1 crore, officials said on Thursday.

The operation, carried out in two phases, seized 2,82,640 imported cigarettes of different brands that are prohibited for sale in India for allegedly violating mandatory packaging and health warning requirements under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), police said.
