Belagavi, July 26 -- In a case of alleged "media blackmail", four YouTubers posing as journalists were arrested in Karnataka's Belagavi district for allegedly planting a packet of ganja on a villager, filming the episode, and extorting money by threatening to implicate him in a narcotics case, police said on Sunday.
The accused - Kallappa Malaj, Mallikarjuna Zulafi, Prithviraj Chauhan and David Tangerala -- were arrested by Hukkeri police following a complaint by the victim, Mehboob Jamadar of Kotabagi village.
According to police, the accused allegedly executed a pre-planned trap by handing over a packet of ganja to Jamadar while secretly recording the exchange. Moments later, they confronted him, claiming he had been caught with narcoti...
