Patna, Feb. 24 -- Four important bills, including Bihar Civil Court Bill, 2026, were passed in state Assembly on Tuesday.
Bihar Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary while urging members of the Assembly to pass the Bihar Civil Court 2026 Bill, said that it would replace the existing law based on Bill passed during British regime in 1887. Earlier, thw Bill which had become effective as law during British regime was known as Bengal Agra Assam Civil Court Bill 1887, he stated.
Under new circumstances and prevailing scenario, a decision was taken to frame law as per requirements of present era, he added.
