Kannauj, Aug. 28 -- Uttar Pradesh Police today arrested four individuals on charges of attempting to convert people to Christianity through inducement and coercion in Gursahaiganj tehsil of Kannauj district.
Authorities also recovered two Christian religious texts during the operation.
Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar confirmed that the arrests were made following a complaint filed by Sabina Nagar, a resident of Gandhinagar Nat Mohalla.
In her statement to the Gursahaiganj Kotwali police, Sabina alleged that she was lured to a prayer meeting at the home of one Malikhan Singh in Ismailpur, where people were being encouraged to convert to Christianity today.
