CRIME MANIPUR ARRESTImphal, July 17 -- Security forces and Manipur Police arrested four individuals over the past two days in separate operations targeting banned insurgent outfits and narcotics trafficking across the state, officials said on Friday.
Police today said on July 16, security forces apprehended a cadre of the Manipur Peoples Defence Force (MPDF) from the Ningthoukhong Loktak Project area of Bishnupur district.
Police recovered a .32 pistol loaded with a five-round magazine, along with cash amounting to Rs 1,00,000, from his possession.
In a separate operation today, security forces arrested an active cadre of SOREPA from the Thoubal Haokha area under Thoubal Police Station.
