Pune, March 18 -- The First Class Judge, P. B. Patil, on Wednesday acquitted Purushottam Suryabhan Khedekar, 77, founder of the Maratha Seva Sangh and Sambhaji Brigade, and Kishor Saheberao Kadu, 42, a local publisher, in a case related to alleged provocative writings against the Brahmin community.

The case involved claims that their book could incite disharmony between communities and cause embarrassment to Brahmin women.

Khedekar had authored a book titled "Shivrayanchya Badnamiche Kendre" ("Centers of Defaming Shivaji"), which featured images of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on the cover. The book contained commentary that some alleged could be offensive to the Brahmin community.
