Giridih (Jharkhand), April 16 -- The foundation stone for an engineering college was laid in Giridih district on Thursday, officials said.
The project was launched at Jaridih under Pachamba police station limits in the presence of state minister Sudivya Kumar and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren.
Addressing the event, Kumar said the initiative was part of efforts to strengthen higher and technical education infrastructure in the district.
He said the proposed campus would also include facilities such as a law college and polytechnic institute, aimed at providing local students access to professional education.
