Kolkata, May 14 -- The former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Supremo Mamata Banerjee reached the Calcutta High Court on Thursday morning clad in her advocate's robes to personally argue a case filed by her party regarding post-poll violence in the state.

The Calcutta High Court is set to hear public interest litigations (PIL) concerning alleged incidents of vandalism and violence following the declaration of results in the 2026 West Bengal State Assembly elections that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept.

The petitions, which have been listed together for hearing at the court, raise concerns over alleged unrest across several parts of the state.
