Srinagar, March 23 -- The Anti-Corruption Court Srinagar on Monday convicted a former Tehsildar in a bribery trap case dating back to 2010.
Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court Srinagar, Dr. Tasleem Arief Ganie, convicted Mohammad Akram Khan, a former Tehsildar posted in Chadoora, in a corruption case registered by the Vigilance Organisation Kashmir, now known as the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Khan, a resident of Aripal Tral in Pulwama district and presently residing at Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
According to the ACB, the case originated from a complaint filed on May 13, 2010, alleging that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant in connection with settling a property dispute in his favour. Acting on the complaint, the Vigi...
