Bengaluru, July 18 -- Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's wife, Chennamma, passed away following a massive cardiac arrest at a private hospital here on Saturday. She was undergoing treatment for breathing complications, chest congestion and other age-related ailments.
According to a statement issued by Manipal Hospital, Chennamma suffered a massive cardiac arrest at around 4 pm despite showing signs of recovery earlier in the day.
She had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night after developing breathing difficulties, chest congestion and other age-related health complications.
