Koppal, March 23 -- Former Legislative Council member Kariyanna H Sangati (61) passed away on Monday morning at a private hospital in Bengaluru due to multiple organ failure.
Sangati is survived by his wife, three sons, three daughters, and numerous relatives. He was a close associate of DK Shivakumar and had contested the 2008 Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Koppal and the 2018 elections from Gangavathi on a JD(S) ticket.
He served as President of the Koppal Zilla Panchayat and held key roles in Kalidasa Educational Institutions and Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mandal, contributing significantly to local governance and public life.
