Bhopal, Aug. 3 -- Former BJP Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Paras Jain, passed away at Indore at the age of 77 on Monday.
Jain was unwell for some time and was admitted to the Jupiter Hospital in Indore.
According to information, Jain had observed Santhara (Sallekhana) for the past three days.
Jain had also pledged to donate his body parts after his death.
His body was brought from Indore to his native place, Ujjain, for the last rites.
Paras Jain had been an MLA for six terms from the Ujjain (North) State Assembly seat.
Jain was also the former President of the Madhya Pradesh Scouts and Guides Organization.
He was a well- known wrestler too in his younger days, and continued to practice wrestling even after entering politics.
