New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- Uruguay coach Diego Forlan has named a strong squad for the October 6 friendly against India in Kolkata, with Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde and former Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez among the headline names.
The match is part of India's busy international friendly schedule in September and October, which also includes games against Panama on September 25 and five-time world champions Brazil on October 3.
"The announcement comes at the beginning of a new chapter for Uruguay following Marcelo Bielsa's departure, with legendary former striker Diego Forlan taking charge of the senior national team and the Under-20 side," said All India Football Federation (AIFF) in a statement.
