Srinagar, July 8 -- Ladakh witnessed a sharp rise in foreign tourist arrivals in June, with the number of overseas visitors nearly doubling compared to the corresponding month last year, reflecting the union Territory's growing appeal among international travellers.
According to official figures, 6,680 foreign tourists visited Ladakh in June this year against 3,349 during the same month in 2025, registering an increase of 99.46 per cent.
Officials attributed the surge to Ladakh's rising popularity as a destination for high-altitude adventure, cultural and spiritual experiences, and sustainable tourism.
