Imphal, June 27 -- Nine players of the Indian Women's Football Team called on Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday, apprising him of the achievements of Manipuri footballers at the national and international levels and urging greater support for women's football in the State.

During the interaction, the delegation informed the Chief Minister that of the 23 players who represented India, nine are from Manipur.
