Tarakeswar, June 20 -- Tarakeswar wore a festive look on Saturday as the temple town transformed into a grand stage celebrating Bengal's heritage, culture and history during the first official observance of Paschimbanga Diwas after the change in government in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Hooghly district town, about 60 kms from Kolkata, turned into more than a political event, unfolding instead as a carefully crafted cultural showcase reflecting Bengal's identity.
